    Hi,

I just recently downgraded my Aspire 5570z from Vista to XP. After some nasty headaches trying to find and install all the correct drivers (BTW, thanks to everyone here, I found a ton of answers :D ), I am only left with one: The internal Bluetooth. I've already tried to download the "BlueTooth Driver and Application 5.0.1.1500.zip" available here, but unfortunately, it cannot install the driver, only the software. Does anyone know how to get this driver installed, or where I can go to download it?

On another note, I remember when I had Vista installed, this internal Bluetooth device wouldn't recognize common devices such as a mouse, cellphone, PDA, etc. Does anyone know what is going on with this?

    Thanks

are you sure your computer come with bluetooth installed

many acer laptops came with bluetooth switch but without bluetooth

and remember while installing bluetooth make sure your bluetooth light is on otherwise if it won't turn on then you don't have bluetooth

    Thanks for the reply :)

Yes, I have the bluetooth switch in the front of the laptop, right next to the WLAN switch. When I had the original OS (Vista) installed, I had a light that would stay on, and when I switched it, it would try and search for a bluetooth device, but it could never find any of the devices that I opened the bluetooth up so that they could be found (and are found whenever I use other computers). I am certain that my computer would try and search for devices, because at the bottom of the screen, I would get the text "No Devices Found" or something along those lines that would show up after a few seconds.

However, now, after I downgraded to XP, the bluetooth light doesn't come on, even after I move the switch.

thanks. I installed it, but I'm a bit confused as to how this might help me out. As far as I can tell all the Launch Manager utility does, is allow me to configure the four buttons next to the monitor to launch particular applications. It helps in many other areas, but unfortunately it doesn't help me setup my internal Bluetooth :(

sorry for that but I'm not experience like others

I'm searching for a way to turn on your bluetooth so i think Launch Manager may install driver for hot keys so it may install bletooth switch driver

if your bluetooth light doesn't work then bluetooth won't install

so you must be sure that your computer have bluetooth there's a sticker in the bottom of your computer for bluetooth so make sure it's here

I know I have bluetooth, because the light would turn on and I was able to search for devices when I had the pre-installed Vista OS. However, everytime I would search for a device that would be enabled for searching, I would get a message that said "no devices found" or something along those lines.

Now, however, after I installed XP, I can't even get the light to turn on, so something is not installed. I'm not sure if it's a driver or what.

I hate to bump posts, but does anyone else have any insight on this problem? I find it really hard to believe that no one else has ran into this problem before.

when i push the bluetooth all i get is "no device found"but thats after i checked in hardware manager, and taking the cover off where the bluetooth module should be it was there just not powerd up.why ? thats something you would have to ask acer.
have you removed all the old drivers in device manager ?
sounds like its not there !

    Hey,

Im having the same problem. I downgraded to Winxp from Vista when I got my 5570Z. I got most all of my drivers from the Acer website under the 5570 Model. For some reason the 5570Z link doesnt work and Acer wont reply to my emails regarding WinXp drivers. Which I think is pathetic...

But anyways I cannot get the Bluetooth to work either, I just get the "No Device" notification from the Acer software. I have downloaded a number of driver packs from driverguide etc but they all seem to be software with no drivers.

Has anyone had any luck in finding any drivers? Or even what kind of Bluetooth hardware that is installed?

    Still looking.. :|

I, too, have this same problem. When I bought the laptop (Acer Aspire 5570Z), it had no operating system; however, I had the option to load the original OS (Vista), which came with the laptop, but I chose to install XP instead. Now, after going through tedious process of acquiring the drivers for the other devices and I got them to work, I can't get the Bluetooth to work: it doesn't even light up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It really makes no sense, why ACER would put the bluetooth switch on there and not package it with a device. I guess they assume that we're all computer wiz that we can just buy the hardware and install it ourselves.
