    Hi,

Apologises for asking this, I'm sure it's been asked numerous times before but I wondered if someone could either answer my query or point me in the right direction.

I have an Acer Aspire 5585WXMi laptop, approx. 2 yrs old purchased in Singapore. It came with Intel's standard Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and I was wondering if there was any possibility of upgrading to the NVidia GPU? When I purchased the laptop I could have paid a little bit extra for the NVidia add-on but decided against (regretting now) so as far as I can tell it should be possible to add on the GPU module?

All help greatly appreciated, thank you.

No, you cannot upgrade as the graphics card is integrated (Soldered) on the board.

Not just soldered onto the motherboards, it's physically part of the chipset.
If your system has an Intel integrated graphics processor, YOU CANNOT UPGRADE IT.
    END OF STORY.

(sorry, just getting REALLY frustrated with all these posts.)

only way to upgrade it is to change the board.

but only way is to wait for stock at pchub.com.

That's not upgrading the graphics card, that's changing the entire motherboard.
And THAT only works if your model was ever sold with a dedicated GPU.
You're better off just getting a new system altogether.
