    Hi.

I have installed fresh copy of Windows XP on this lappy, with all the drivers from acer support website.

But here is the problem, battery needs drivers.... every time when I switch the pc ON I get message "found new hardware" for battery etc.

And battery doesn show remaining time etc.

    don't know what to do!

    Aspire 5630

Umm...generally batteries don't require drivers. They might use a power-management utility which you can probably find on Acer's website.
Are you sure that they are no other uninstalled devices?

Of course, I don't own an Acer, just tossing my thoughts out there.
