Hi all. When I first got my laptop, Acer Aspire 5630 series, it had windows pre-installed and I had noticed that in the network connections there was one for the tv-tuner. Odd thing to find there I thought at the time.. but anyway I reinstalled windows XP pro and I installed all the drivers etc.

I'm able to get tv-out simply via the nvidia 7300 drivers. But as I understand the s-video plug at the back should also work as a hybrid tv-tuner ?

On acer's website there are 4 drivers for the tv-tuner listed under the 5630 series.

I got all 4 but I don't know which to install or how to install it exactly.

Some guidance would be much appreciated in this matter. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure the S-video-out port is just a means to connect to an external display device, in the manual for my Aspire 5634 there are seperate options for a S-video-in and TV Tuner ports.
