    does Aspire 5672 supports Intel Core 2 Duo? I think it has 945 PM chipset

    A search of the forums would tell you yes it is with a bios update

    Yep, you need to upgarde BIOS to v1.3224. I wouldn't go there if I were you, unless you are thinking of getting a 64-bit system. Core 2 Duo takes 34W instead of 31W and will eat away a lot of minutes into your battery life. (you'd also need to self-apply thermal paste as you'll most likely remove the stock thermal paste during installation)
