So, I replaced the operating system on my 5672, and I cannot get the external switch to work for the WiFi, which is seeming to render it pretty useless. Are there drivers available for this switch so I can actually turn it on?

    Thanks

I think the external Wifi switches are controlled by Acer's Launch Manager software. Try installing that and see if the switch is able to work.

Now, when I hit the switch, it says "No Device". But I have all the WiFi drivers installed. Silly ol' thing.

The switch works without any drivers or special software. However, there is little indication that the switch is pressed unless you are running the Acer software.

I am not and the switch acts as intended.

The Intel device properties tab radio on/off option might actually control the radio's status.

When I reinstalled my OS after converting to NTFS my wifi didn't work right away. I couldn't get it turned on, it was down to the front switch / button. And seemed to be no way to turn it on, after installing the acer software, the buttons worked and enabled me to turn it on.
Shame you have to use the acer software and the button, as the button is annoying when pressed by accident.
