Dear All, I wish you to help me with the following, the power indicator of my laptop aspire 5672 is always light on even if I unplug the power supply, it goes off only when I remove the battery but it return back on when I reinstall it. This problem happen although I made a normal shut down to windows. The power indicator is always light on and if I left the computer for about 6 hours or so, and I then plug the power supply in, I find the battery indicator lights on green for 15 minutes asif it is recharging !!!!. This means that there is a consumption of power from my battery although the computer and windows are shut down.

I forget to say that my laptop went dead and I gave it to the official dealer who changed the motherboard, then I worked fine for two weeks now then I started to notice this problem.

It could be several things related to this, however I am guessing that one of two things happened here.

#1. There is a bad lead or contact between your AC converter IN your laptop (not the power brick) and your battery.

    or

#2. You had the manufacturer replace the motherboard with a different (but similar) model resulting in a possible power issue.

#3. It could be a fluke / battery issue.
