When I open the properities tap from my computer my ram is showing up as 982 MHz. The only other threads I have seen indicate that the 5672 came with either 533 or 666 Mhz ram. Did I get a freak?

You ram speed doesnt show when you open properties; the 982mhz is your CPU speed.

No the processor speed is 1.6 GHz. It is a T2300 duo-core.

That number is CPU speed. For example, my desktop reads:

    Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00Ghz
3.15 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM

    (As I'm slightly overclocked.)

    Creosote.

That 982MHz is just the present speed of the CPU (mine's also running at the speed presently). If you get CPU-Z ( http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php ), it'll tell you the BUS speed (mine's at 666.7 MHz).

What does CPU-Z say under Memory, Frequency?

That's it. I ran super pi and checked it and it read 1.67 GHz. Thanks.
