    A 5672 expert!

I used to use Omega drivers on mine until I upgraded to Premium x64. I have another 5672 issue (not entirely sure if I should have made a thread of it or not though).
On removing the HDD: The USB bus for the ports on the left side of the laptop rests under the HDD. When I removed the HDD the USB cable was stuck to it and, therefore, lodged out of it's motherboard connection. I can't see or find where to slide it back in. It "looks" as if it connects to the motherboard the same way the keyboard cable does.
Now my left side USB ports do not work.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

sighn, please make a new ticket request instead of linking onto this one. That way we have record of it, and also so people don't get confused.

Once you do that I'll assist you further.

    Thanks!

You are wanting to find / replace the USB transfer cable. I'll try to get some pictures for you after work.

Sorry for any inconveniences I could have caused and thanks for the thread move.
Thanks for helping to look into this.

The cable, however, is still there but it's not connected to the motherboard, now.
I've just taken a photo of the HDD bay area

I accidentally pulled it out of it's motherboard socket (or something) whilst removing the HDD, yesterday. The visible rubber square on the cable is what caused it to stick to the hard drive tray.

you will need to totally tear the 5672 down the to the screws to address this problem (sadly).

I thought that might be the case lol. Thanks for letting me know. I might try it one day if I feel the need, but the other two USB ports are fine so it's not a big problem.
