Bought the Aspire 5720 2 months ago. All seem work fine at first. One day, the touchpad just not work. Anyone have similar problem and how to fix it. I suspect it is the driver. It is ALPS touchpad driver version 7.01101.17. Any help will be useful.

I have a 5315-2153 model and I just uninstalled the ALPS driver and tried the Synaptics drivers and it ended my cursor problems (jumping around). But if I were you, I would try to update the ALPS drivers first.

Have you tried Fn + F7 to enabled touchpad. Give it a try
