    Hi,

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for the above?
I installed XP on this and managed to find all drivers except what 'I think' is the expresscard driver.
In device manager there are the yellow question marks between 'Network adapters' and 'processors'.

As this model never originally came with XP could anyone suggest a similar model that did so I could d/l the correct driver?

    Thanks!

Oh, this is not the notebook in my sig its an Aspire with the 'Insyde' MB/Bios (??) not my Travelmate

i may be wrong but i have seen no driver for the express card. i'm pretty sure that a driver for the EXPRESS CARD is not needed as long as chipset drivers are loaded properly

see the SOULPASS link in the ASPIRE 5315 CPU UPGRADE sticky

there are links about installing XP in the top 1/4th of the first post!!

the SOUL PASS link is all you need to start.... the 5315 and 5720 (along w/ the 7720) ASPIRES all use the ACADIA2 motherboard... so that page will work for you...

i have talked to many users who have verified it!

Yes I originally used the SOULPASS link for main drivers as I'd seen you post the link in a previous post, so thanks!

I think you may be right about there being no expresscard driver, I have searched everywhere but with no luck.

Everything else is running great, I was just being particular as this laptop is for someone else.

    Thanks again ;)

that is exactly what it is...... good answer duksandfish...

here is what i had to do after each re-install,, install the agere or what ever that driver is,,, then install the conxtant driver over that install.... and that has the modem showing up and working perfecly
