    Hi,

    I recently did a window update which caused my Aspire 5738 not able to log off and shut down. It stays on the log off screen forever. I even tried leaving it on the whole night and nothing happened.

    I then realized that prior to the log off screen window 7 quickly skipped the "terminate program window". So I believe that window 7 was not able to close the application and thus causing it not able to log off and shut down.

    Just wondering if anyone experienced this problem and would know what application is the cause of this incompatibility if nt prevent window 7 from bypassing "terminate program window" so application can shut down properly

    Here is the spec of my computer:

    # Operating System:Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
    * Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T6600
    * Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset

    thanks in advance

    Hi,

    check the event log. There should be entries that help identifiying the problem source.
