So my Aspire 5739G will not run games. :(

I updated it to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit using the disk Acer sent me about a month ago, but never checked to see if any games work until today. Stupid, I know. I put in the CD, the game starts to load up and then it goes to a black screen. It always did this when I had Vista too, but it usually came back on and the game was loaded up. Its stuck there then and I'm forced to hold down the power button and restart the computer.

I updated the driver for the Nvidia GeForce GT 130M to its latest (mainly because I have no clue what to do and thought to myself "yeah, that sounds like something that might be wrong with it"), but no change.

I really don't know what I'm doing here so if anyone could help me out (and explain it to me like you were talking to a 7 year old) I would really be thankful. :D

Did you check the game for any patches?

It's multiple games and they don't have new patches. :(

One thing I haven't thought of is that it has something to do with the games being installed before I upgraded to Windows 7. I doubt that will do anything, but I'll try uninstalling the games and then reinstalling them then telling updating the post.

Keep the ideas coming though! :D

    Nope. Reinstalling them didn't work.

    Anyone else have any clue?

    Another update:

Games seem to work when I play them in windowed mode, but they never load up otherwise.

What the heck does this mean?
