I need bluetooth on our new Aspire 5741 windfows 7 64bit in order to sync with palm device for birding software. Have had much difficulty and now it appears this machine does not have bluetooth? cannot believe that since my much cheaper asus netbook of 3 yrs has it! Anyway if this is true, can I download a driver and get bluetooth or what are my options? thanks so much

Bluetooth is an internal component and cannot be simply downloaded. Frankly: you just don't have it. It was most likely overlooked in your configuration. All you need to do is purchase a Bluetooth dongle and it will either install the drivers automatically or require an installation through cd.

    Hope that helps.
