Hi, I have just purchased above and when I power up nothing is happening. Instructions say to turn on the wireless connection but not a thing happens, I feel like complete idiot but I have never had problems setting up PC's or laptops at this early stage arghhhh!

to confirm, battery is in, power connected & turned on, press Fn + F3 to turn on wireless, NOTHING!! I am charging battery as it'son an amber light at present which means it's not fully charged, should that affect setting up?

    appreciate some help here.

    Thanks

    Lets be sure what's happening...

When you power up does it boot into Windows OK ? because you say nothing is happening. I take that to mean nothing on the screen :)

If nothing is happening then I would say you have fault.

If that is the case you could try removing battery and AC power, then press and hold power button for 20 secs. Refit battery, then conect AC power and try again.

hi, thanks for replying. It does not boot up windows, the screen stays blank, its very strange, can't believe a brand new laptop would have a fault like this or is this common?

I did as you said and took out battery etc and still nothing.

What i don't get is why I even have to turn on the wireless connection to set up the laptop, that is usually something I do later on when trying out the internet?

    thanks

From what you describe it has to be faulty. Maybe it's been dropped in storage or transit...
