    The 9 cell from the series listed in its compatability might work.

    My 5935g took a 6 cell battery but accepted an 8 cell from a 7738g.

    Things to check:

    1. Does it physically fit.
    2. Is the voltage less than the max listed on the bottom of the notebook.
