    Aspire 5920 Memory problem

    hi everybody,
    i have problem on my laptop memory(aspire 5920 Vista 32bit),it was a 4GB but the computer only reads 3GB.i have changed the 2 memory cards but still the same.if i just used 1,it reads 2 GB but when i put the 2 memory cards then it turns to 3GB.my laptop a bit slow even if only run 1 application..
    your thoughts will be a great help for me...thank you very much...

    That's because you have a 32bit system. 64bit OS would show and use 4GB RAM.

    my laptop showed 4GB before even it was a 32bit. actually we have three laptops of the same model,same OS,but mine is the only one with this problem.
