Hello. It seems that my laptop has a problem with the sound when I have World of Warcraft up. The sound works just find when it's not up, but when I have World of Warcraft up it stops. I go to sounds, try to test my speakers, but it fails to play the tone, etc., etc. What do I do? Help much appreciated. Thanks! :)

Hi, it can be a number of things. As far as I understood, your speakers are working but they stop working once you load WoW. I guess if you close WoW, the sound comes back, right? There a number of things you can do. First you can update the drivers from realtek and see if that solves the problem. You do that, not only because the compatibility will be better but also it will reset any settings that might cause your problem. You might also check the default sound format, make sure it's 48000 Hz, 24 bit (you will find it if you go speakers, properties, advanced tab). As far as I can remember you can put back the default settings in WoW for the sound, so that can be useful as well. Another thing you can check is if you have muted the WoW by mistake. Once you open the game you can go to windows and them open the volume mixer and there is a column where you can adjust the volume sound of just WoW. Check the level of the sound is not muted or very low. That's all I can think so far.
