Wondering if anyone could help me out.
I cannot power my laptop up at all, the port where you plug the charger in (sorry for lack of tech speak) has a wiggly centre pin, it started out by occasionally cutting to battery power even when the charger was plugged in, got progressively worse until it stopped working altogether.
I have tested both the laptop and the charger on a friend's laptop (one model down I think) and they worked fine, and his charger wouldn't work on mine, so I'm pretty sure it's the laptop.
Basically I want to know how I would go about fixing it, I want to save money doing it myself if it's possible.

    Thanks in advance.

You can find a power socket on e-bay and replace it provided you can do some soldiering yourself. Otherwise it would be better if you'd just send it to a repair shop (doesn't have to be Acer Support if your notebook is not covered by warranty anymore).

It's not a complicated job and if you don't have the tools (soldiering iron) and/or the skills it's better to let someone else do it.
