I am using the Aspire 5936G Nvidia Gforce GT240M since Christmas and Windows 7 32bit Ultimate installed just fine using the drivers from the Acer web site. Everything runs very smoothly, including sounds, display, etc. All the latest Acer drivers, apps and firmware is installed.

The only problem is that I can't use hibernate.

When I try to wake the notebook up from hibernate, the "resuming windows" screen shows up with the animated Windows logo, but that's about it, it stops right there. No access to the hard drive (led doesn't flash).

When I hit space, I have the options to (a) continue resume windows, or (b) delete the hibernate data and reboot. The system is not really frozen, as this space bar menu always works, it's just not use. When I use option (b) to delete the hibernate state and reboot, the system reboots normally and starts up from scratch.

I have tried it with both, Nvidia GT240M and Intel display card activated.

Does anybody know how to debug resume from hibernate issues?
