After replacing the HD due to original HD failure and having new 64 bit Win7 Home Premium installed can't turn off the darn touch pad. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Either the Synaptics touch pad driver or the Dritek Launch Manager, both available from Acer's downloads site. Try the Vista version if the 7 one doesn't work.

Neither was offered by Acer download site for Win 7 x64 and only the Synaptics driver was available for Vista x64 so I am downloading that and will give it a try. Thank you for the quick response. I will let you know how it turns out.

The Launch Manager is under the "Application" tab, not the "Driver" one.
Windows 7 and Windows Vista right here.

The Synapsis program worked like a charm. Thank you very much.
Now if I can find a replacement battery that actually worked in my 6920-6484 I would be in hog heaven.
