    Hi guys
    I've joined out of desperation.
Bought the Acer Aspire 6920 laptop Sunday may have to return
    it tomorrow.

    Problem:
I've connected the ethernet from my PC to the laptop to connect to
the internet. I just can't get connected.

a message tells me told that the remote server fields may be incorrect.

My ISP comcast say I should turn off my wireless access??
Is this right? how do I do that?
Acer support had me re-set computer to factory settings
    didn't change a thing.

I'm no computer whiz but surely connecting to the internet
    shouldn't be this difficult.

I'd love it if someone could help me with this otherwise I'm just
going to return the thing which I don't want to do it's a lovely
laptop with a nice big screen.

The directions that come with it are a joke by the way...
As an example...they have a numbered diagram of the laptop with the
descriptions on a SEPARATE page so you have to keep flipping to and
fro to familiarize yourself with everything.
They have repeated this IDIOTIC set up in the PDF manual.
    HONESTLY...!!

Gave up trying to connect using the ethernet connection.
Bought a router for $50 and am up and running.

The fault I feel was with my ISP NOT the laptop.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship
    Between My Acer and Me
