I was just wondering if there is anyone who has an Aspire 6920G service guide? I have an acer aspire 6920G with 3GB RAM, 1.83GHz CPU, 320GB with an intel GMA x3100. is upgrading the GPU on this possible?

Nope. The GPU is integrated. It cannot be upgraded. (And your's is the 6920, Gs have dedicated GPUs)

The 6920 Service Guide was posted here a while ago for me - use the search bar to poke around and locate it again.

Yep. The CPU can be upgraded. X9000 is the limit.

    Good Choices are T8100; T8300; T9300; T9500.

But the best ones (bang for the buck) are T8300 and T9300 (they depend on your system requirements also).

Well, the X3100 was never made for gaming. And a CPU upgrade won't help.

Anyway, if you have money to spare, keep an eye on Ebay Auctions for the above 4 CPUs. (< $160)

Retail: The T9300 is around $300, with warranty.

And you cannot sell the old CPU after upgrading to offset the cost of the upgrade, because Acer won't cover the CPU upgrade under the warranty, and will create a fuss.

I actually spoke w/Acer Support about this same issue - a fellow named Darren told me that as long as the original CPU was put back in the system, they would be able to service it, and the warranty wouldn't be voided.

I'll be scouring eBay for the T8300, T9300, or T9500 for the next few months. When I have the scratch, I'll snatch the stuff.

No worries. Just do what I did after I realized I had a laptop with integrated graphics - wait 2 years, then get a newer model with dedicated graphics!
