Hello. I have a problem with my 6920g and I hope you can help me.

I use Vista Home Premium 64 bit version with the SP2. I never changed or reinstalled the OS. I also never changed any part.

I didn't install anything lately, except for windows, chrome and flash plug-in updates.

A few days ago, it started to freeze/restart by itself. When it freezes, the screen flashes like it's going to restart, but it doesent and it freezes completely.

Since at the beginning it froze when I left it alone while it was downloading stuff, I thought it could be the sleep mode, so I deactivated the automatic sleep. It didn't work, but after I deactivated the turn off the screen after X hours/minutes, it stopped freezing always after I left it alone for about 45 minutes. It still freezes/restarts when it's left alone, but it's not that predictable.

It also started to freeze/restart while I'm using it (in fact it did while I wrote tis for the first time...). I noticed that after it comes back from the freeze/restart, it shows more free space on the HD.

I thought it could be the battery (even though ePower management says it's in good condition), so I removed it. I also deativated its drivers, but it didn't work.

Despite the fact that it never froze while I was watching videos or doing stuff that really uses the CPU (in fact, it tends to happen while I'm not), I figured it might be the temperature, so I downloaded Aida64 and made some tests.

First I set the CPU speed to max and took a screenshot. Then, I made it use 100% of both cores and took another. The screenshots are below.

I guess that's all. Thanks for your attention

Hi there, I have the same laptop and the same issues that you told. Did you fix your laptop? I am about to send it to specialized technician and I would be pleased if you could tell me the end of your history.

    tks a lot
