At bootup I will get a black screen after the windows loading bar (at the bottom). It will stay a black screen as long as I reboot. I need to press the power button pressed down until it reboots then I do a Regular Windows Start. I've done the safe start so it can look for disk errors too. But I still get this black screen about 60% of every boot times.

What is the problem? Vista? or other?

Hmm i have a similar problem with the 6935g but its not done it for awhile. It just doesnt like to restart. It seems to start up if i take the power cable out the laptop for 5+ seconds then boot up for me. My bios are updated too.

Hi, it isn't vista but possibly a driver issue, how long has it been doing this for as a system restore might get you back to normal...

My laptop is 2 weeks old and I already restored the system...
I'll try the USB thing (from BOKO) 'cause I have this mouse that uses the micro usb chip and I leave it in there all the time.

BTW, When I look in the Acer eSettings Management under Boot Option, what is the check in "Enable Fast Boot"? I'll try removing this check too.

I moved the USB in the boot sequence at the bottom...
    I unchecked "enable fast boot"...
And I still leave the micro usb for the mouse in there...So after a few days I haven't had any boot issues anymore, so go figure. It must be one of those changes i've made.
