    Aspire 6930G 5.1 Analog Output

    I'm sorry if this is old news, but I discovered something thats not in the manual for 5.1 audio output.
    When you set the Notebook to 5.1, the 3 3.5mm inputs on the side change functions.
    The headphone port remains the left & right, but the microphone ports becomes the sub & center channel, and the line-in port becomes the left surround and right surround.
    I don't know why this was left out of the manual, but thats how it works.

    Yeah on my desktop as well, Realtek does the same.

    Its like this on my Desktop too, but I didn't know about the Notebook. I thought the 5.1 was some virtual surround sound.
