I browsed through several pages, and searched, but I couldn't find a threat addressing this issue. I apologize if one already exists.
I have an Acer Aspire 6930G. I can connect to a wireless network and then the internet, but frequently I am losing connection. (The period of time I am connected varies, sometimes 5 minutes, sometime 2 hours.) The problem has persisted in different networks, which makes me assume that the problem is with my computer, and not with the routers or internet I'm trying to connect to.
I have all the latest drivers from Acer's site.
If I run these commands in cmd, it seems to resolve the issue temporarily:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Help will be greatly appreciated.

All the latest drivers from Acer site means drivers that are at least two years old.
What wireless card do you have and what OS?
We might be able to provide you with more recent drivers. -
Thanks for the response. The OS and wireless card are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN
I found a list of driver downloads on Intel's site, but I'm not sure which to download. (I don't want to mess things up, ya know?) Here is the link. I hope that worked.
Thanks again.
