    Hi all
Can someone tell me if there is a known motherboard fault with an Acer Aspire 7004wsmi laptop.. It started to blank the screen then would not turn on sometimes, now it turns on but you cannot see any bios screen.

i don't think it's the inverter or screen as when i connect a external monitor to the vga port you cannot see anything..

it's like the motherboard lights come on but it does not seem to boot..

    Model No: MS2195
    S/N: LXAWS0X002..............

The 7000/9300 series use the same board and both suffer from problems with the solder on the graphics chips.
Can be repaired by reballing/replacing the graphics chip if you have access to a hot air rework station.
