    greetings

I recently downgraded my new 7520 from vista to 2003 enterprise (SP2).
I've successfully got all the devices working except for the built in Ricoh Card Reader.

I installed the official driver provided by Acer PanAmerica's site and it still gives me the popup "Windows could not load the installer for SDHost. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance." every time I start windows.

and then in Device Manager under "Secure Digital host controllers" theres one "PCI Device" with a yellow exclamation on it.

can anyone shed some light on this?

btw I upgraded the bios from v1.21 to v1.33 when it was still on vista. could that be the problem??

    ooop no wait update!!
i got fed up went back to XP, and the card reader worked perfect so not a hardware prob.
XP uses the "SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller - 6.0.4069.1" driver
so for ppl with this prob, screw the official Ricoh b.s. and get this one!!
    driver link:

    * i know it says gateway but they just host the file
i guess im done here :)
