    Hi,

    I have an Aspire 7520G.
    ADM Turion 64x2 1.90 Ghz.
    Geforde 8400m G 256mb.
    3 GB RAM.

I used the acer program ePower management and put everything on max performance.
The CPU is at 100% clockspeed. Only when i play a game, the CPU somethings drops till 80%. This causes major lag spikes for 5-8 secondes.
I got a screenshot where you can see the drops.

What causes this problem?? Is it the because my CPU is overheating? (in the picture is quite stable).

    How can i fix this?

I got the latest BIOS version by the acer helpdesk.

I am not very familiar with the AMD processors to be honest. The temps look a bit high though for the 7520G, I would expect them to be much lower. But as I said I am not familiar. It looks like your CPU throttles for some reason and then comes back again. You should check the throttling threads here like this one. There is some more advanced tweaks here or you can undervolt to lower the temps (Guide here)

Put up a graph when you're playing but with settings on balanced.

For Pete's sake, clean your fan intake and exhaust if you haven't yet! De-schmutzifying your laptop is a great way to improve cooling.
