Hi there, after being let down today with a 6920g order (out of stock). The company have instead offered me a 7530 with 9300m gpu, my question guys is can I upgrade it to maybe a 9600m gs, and the same for the cpu, however i'm not 100% sure which cpu it has yet I think its a turion x2 rm???.
It also has 320hdd and a 1400x900 screen, and blue ray/ dvd/dl, does it have 2 hdd bays?
I feel like my heads about to pop after so much research over the last 6 days,lol![]()
And I would love to hear your general opinions on this model too, good or bad.
There seems to be very little on goole about it, I can't find a review anywhere.
thanks.![]()

sorry about the bump, it just that I have been learning all week about specs and i'm a bit lost, to simlify the original post, how upgradable is the 7530?
I have read and read and read, and just need to hear some solid advice about this model of laptop, i'll be using it for a gaming and movies, its alot of cash for me to spend and just don't want it to be out of date straight away.
thanks. -
really could do with some advice.
before I spend -
Hi
I can give you information straight from service manual FRU for aspire 7535. Ther'a two cards used in this model:
MSI VGA Card nVidia NB9M-GS DDRII 256M 400MHz 32*16 MXM I - 9300m gs and
MSI VGA Card nVidia NB9P-GS DDRIII 512M 800MHz 32*32 MXM II - 9600m gt.
Therefore I think that upgrade to 9600m gt shoud be without problems. About cpu: there'a couple models of tourions and athlons X2 used :
1. AMD TurionX2 ZM80 PGA 2.1G 2M 638 35W Griffin B1,
2. AMD TurionX2 ZM82 PGA 2.2G 2M 638 35W Griffin B1,
3. AMD TurionX2 ZM84 PGA 2.3G 2M 638 35W Griffin B1,
4. AMD Athlon64X2 QL60 PGA 1.9G 1M 638 35W Griffin B1,
5. AMD TurionX2 RM70 PGA 2.0G 1M 638 35W Griffin B1
The max cpu is ZM84 2.3GHz.
I think that are safe upgrade because those components are used in this model. Maby will be possible upgrade to ati4650 because those cards are used in aspire models as well and they are MXM II slot too, but this is to further investigation as well as upgrade to higher available CPU like ZM-86 2.4GHz and AMD Turion II Ultra Dual-Core Mobile: M600 2.4GHz, M620 2.5GHz, M640 2.6GHz.
I dont have 7530 and I did't any upgrade therefore I cann't say that's sure for 100%. Those are only my deduction from reading FRU for this model.

Darnok, it is against forum rules to post service guides. Please keep this in mind for future posts.
And helipilot, please check your PMs. -
thanks for the reply/advice, I have just spoke to the company supplying the notebook, and because its their original mistake by running out of 6920G's, they are sending me a 7735G-654G32mn, instead of the 7530G, which is great news because it has better specs and is a newer model.
I will do what you suggest and first get a feel for the stock machine and wait before doing any upgrades, first job is to make back ups for recovery, right?
then I will follow the guides on this forum for formatting the hdd and merge the partitions, a process i have just learned how to do, using partition magic, i have been learning on my old compaq.
Then I need to perform a clean install of vista/windows 7, to remove all bloatware and then i'm good to go, i think... I also learned how to under volt useing the guide by flimflam, it did work reducing my temps by a few degrees, it was more the process rather than results that i was after. Ocerclocking will be something I want to get on and do so I may try that next.
thanks again.
Aspire 7530 cpu/gpu upgrade.
