This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Aspire 7720 Will not boot to Windows

    Boot up but no Windows (vista). Tried various recovery.

    Latest attempt in "Edit Boot Options" reads as follows:

    Path: \Windows\System32\winload.exe

    Partition: 2
    Hard Disk: 8c715754

    [ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN

    next choices are:> ENTER=Submit or ESC=Cancel

    chose <ENTER> went right back to "windows error recovery" screen, THEN, right back to "system recovery options" again.

    Still no help.
