Hello. I have a laptop with an Acer Aspire 7720G model. When the computer is turned on first, after the acer logo, "Remove disks or other media. Press any key."
I was getting a written error. Then, when the computer was starting, there was no image on the screen, and sometimes it started to appear. Eventually, the Computer started shutting down 5-6 seconds after I pressed the power button. No sound from the CD drive, only the fan was spinning. Sometimes the computer was turned on, the cd drive was working, the fan was turning but there was no picture on the screen.
I think the problem is caused by bios. When I entered the BIOS while the computer was booting, the BIOS version was showing as 1.14.
When I looked at Acer's site, there was version 1.45. I downloaded it to another computer but there is only exe file. What can I do that. How can I write to CD? In BIOS Updates, does the FN + ESC key only apply to bios burned to CD? Not valid on flash memory? I would be very glad if an experienced person could enlighten me. I wish you a good day.

(I do not think there is a problem with the video card, but how can I determine if the video card is malfunctioning?)

For one thing it's not a problem with BIOS - BIOSes don't go bad - of it worked, it should work. BIOS updates may bring support for more CPU microcodes or fix some issues but if you had those issues, you would be having them all the time you've owned the laptop.

It's more likely to be an OS issue - have you tried using recovery partition or recovery DVD to restore the notebook to its factory state?
Mind you - you need to back up all your personal files before you do that.

EDIT: I edited your post to hopefully make the image you've attached visible.

I don't have a recovery disc. Sometimes images appear on the screen, sometimes not. not coming at all now. I have a Geforce 8400MS graphics card. But there is something like this. Before reaching this stage, the computer could not boot while the hard drive was booting and restarted itself. There was no problem with the hard drive. Sometimes when I press the switch on the computer, the fan turns for 5 seconds, the cd drive does not work and the pc turns off. I mentioned above. I think the service road appeared :) but if you have a last suggestion I can do, you can write. Maybe BIOS update is a solution. I don't think there will be any harm in trying. I took all the risk.

[/ QUOTE]

    please help me.

Does the laptop boot currently or not?
If not use use Alt + F10 at boot when you see Acer logo. That should start recovery process from hidden recovery partition.

Currently the computer fan is spinning, but there is no picture on the screen. 2 3 times when I restart it, the fan turns for 5 seconds, then the voltage goes off, the pc turns off. When I remove and insert the battery, the computer turns on but there is no picture on the screen. There is such a cycle now. In short, there is no picture on the screen.

Let me explain it this way; Sometimes for 4 to 5 seconds the fan is spinning, the light is on and off. If I'm lucky, the computer turns on, the fan freezes, the hdd and cd drive sound is heard, but there is no picture on the screen. I removed the Nvidia GeForce 8400MS graphics card from my external video card and tried to boot the computer like that. I get a white screen, which means that there is no problem with my screen. But just say something happened. When I tried to turn it on with no external video card plugged in, the white screen came up for 1 second, it went away, and after 5 seconds the computer turned off. can we say the problem is in gpu? Maybe there is a multiple problem. I do not know.

I forgot to write about the battery. When I take out the battery, there are situations I wrote above.

Can you explain that part? Do you mean you've removed the GPU from this notebook and attempted to start it like that?

I tried it to find out if the LCD screen has trouble. When I turned on the computer a white screen came up. This also says my screen is working. Is not it? I made my mistake?

OK, that's clear. It wouldn't be the screen anyway - if the screen was dead the notebook would boot normally, not switch off. You just wouldn't see anything.
It doesn't make any beeping sounds (BIOS error codes I mean)?

no sound whatsoever. not only is the charge light flashing when my computer is running low, but also makes a noise every 10 seconds on average. It was also doing it while it was working. In short, there is no sound.

Unless you have another compatible MXM card to replace this one, it's almost impossible to to pinpoint that issue.
It's either the motherboard or GPU in my opinion.

That would end in a disaster. Your notebook doesn't even stay on as long as a flash process takes. If the process got interrupted midway you'd end up with a completely dead notebook and BIOS chip would have to be removed and re-flashed in an external programmer even to get it back to the state the notebook is in now.

I know. I am ready to take any risk. I would be very glad if you just tell me how to copy the files to cd or flash drive, which files to copy, which file I need to give what name.

I downloaded a file called BIOS 1.45.zip from acer.com.tr. I have to open the file named BIOS.1.45.exe in Winrar and write which files to Flash memory or CD. Should I use a program to write or do I copy it?

Nah man. I'm not gonna take part in this. Not only do you refuse to understand that BOISes that worked do not go bad just like that but you also want to attempt to flash a BIOS blind on a computer that doesn't even reliably stay on.
It's your computer so you can do whatever you want but I'm not gonna take part in it. Sorry.
