Hi, I was giving my 7720g it's bi-monthly check over for dust in air vents and all, took the Ram, fan, heat sinks and cards out and vacumed up any dust. I replaced everything (or so I thought) and turned on......Black screen! Then I notice I had not replaced the ram. Shut laptop down......removed battery, replaced ram, turn on laptop....everythin is fineg except wireless LED blinks Rapid and constant & Wireless pro ABG card is not showing in device manager.

Anyone have any idea why? I've un-installed, removed card re-installed drivers, reinstalled card and still the same......HELP!

    Running windows7 64bit.

What happens if you move the ABG card to the other slot?

Yip....managed to get a hold of replacement today. Was only when fitting that I realised I had used a magnetic screw driver when refitting the old card......doh! :(

I'm guessing that's what caused the failure?

I don't think it was your fault- magnetic screwdriver shouldn't do any harm.

My 7720g is 3 years old, I have never cleaned anything and it works fine. In my opinion, if something works ok it is better to leave it alone.
