Have had an Aspire 7730G since last July. Best laptop I ever had actually. I'm just having one problem with the touchpad under Windows 7.

When the processor speed is throttled back by the OS, the pointer motion becomes erratic, it judders and doesn't respond as well as it should. If you put a load on the machine it goes back to normal again (because the SpeedStep driver puts the CPU back to full speed). Also, if I disable the intelppm.sys driver it's perfect all the time - but I'd assume this would destroy my battery life if I kept it disabled.

XP works perfectly all the time so I don't really understand what the problem could be. I also tried several different touchpad drivers but am currently using the generic Synaptics driver from their website (Acer don't list a touchpad driver for this model under Windows 7).

Anyone know what the problem could be?
