I've been running Windows 7 since August (RC and then release) and I love the experience, but I've noticed a few problems with drivers which aren't critical, but do become annoying.
1) Validity Sensor - I've installed the latest drivers, but the Fingerprint reader is not recognized, but when I roll back the driver a couple of versions (same as the one that comes with the upgrade DVD) it works fine, but there have been a couple of versions since then and I'm worried that I'm missing some important updates with the new releases)
2) Graphics Card (NVIDIA 9600M)
i) As with above, old version works better than current. With the newer drivers, I lose all brightness control and color vibrancy is much lower.
ii) The video card work great, except when using a program called Phrogram (a beginner's programming language). It works well most of the time, but when I run the actual program I create the playback is very choppy. I know this is a problem with my computer, because the game has been tested on multiple other computers (most with lesser specs than mine) and another person had a similar problem running Windows 7 on a Mac, but once the video drivers were updated, the choppyness went away, which is why I believe this is a video card problem.
I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced similar problems, but if you have or just have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1) For Validity sensor, make sure u download the Windows 7 compatible drivers ONLY from Acer support site. Also make sure it matches your operating system version X86 or X64. Install the fingerprint software which comes with the downloaded drivers (drivers should get installed automatically). Then reboot. I have a reverse swipe patch Here Run the Acer32_ReverseSwipeDirection.cmd and reverse_sensor_32.reg
Hopefully this should take care of 1st problem.
2) Uninstall any nvidia drivers and download and install 186.81 WHQL
These drivers are super stable and will allow you to adjust brightness. Avoid installing Beta and Acer OEM 187.66 nvidia driver as that driver causes overheating problems.
Hope that helps
