I have recently received an Aspire 8943g as a replacement for an 8930. It has an Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card. I am having some glitches with the graphics in Dirt 3 and have read that updated drivers will cure the problem. The latest driver on the ATI site doesn't appear to be compatible with the Acer hardware, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just find a direct download of the drivers.

That sometimes is a problem with Graphic drivers as sometimes the laptop vendors tweak the drivers. Most of the time when ATI and Nvidia update their drivers they will work but it's not 100% of the time. Thats why when you go to the drivers site they do say that its best to get the driver form the laptop's site.

I would look at the Acer site and download the driver for the 8943 there and see if it works.

I've looked on the Acer site and they don't seem to have the latest drivers and trying to go via the ATI site results in a message saying Catalyst can't install due to incompatible hardware. Looks like I'll have to wait for Acer to upload their "tweaked" version - I won't hold my breath!
