    Specs look good....but there are better options with the X700 from Acer itself. Must be a Europe specific model.

    By biggest concern buying an Acer is it having a noisy fan, that is on all the time !!

    Any ideas ?

    Hmm...It has a Pentium M so fans might not be on 24/7. Maybe on A/C power they might run always; but on battries I would guess they might turn off. The fans on my Aspire 3003 turn on & off. They are generally bearable at low speeds but on full blast they can be a little bit noisy.

    I had a travelmate 244LM, that fan 'never' went off.. Soo LOUD !

    Thats most probably due to the cpu being a desktop Celeron :(
