My Aspire 9303 arrived today but I am unable to get it comnected to mw wireless network, it detects the network and get to the point acquiring newtork address and that's as far as it manages to get .... WE have 6 computers here all connected on wireless network so we're baffled by this
    ...

If anyone can suggest soemthing to try/test I'd appreciate, I rang Acer support and they were a waste of time and suggested I return the laptop for repair, astonishing when I have literally justv taken it out of the box and I'm pretty sure it's not that serious an issue, maybe a softweare configuration ...

If you're running Acer eNet, dump it and uninstall it. Windows Wireless Zero Configuration is usually adequate. If Windows still can't connect to the network, update your wireless NIC drivers. If you want a pretty interface to connect to the network with, you can install the Intel PROSet/Wireless Software too (assuming you have an Intel chipset, which I think you do, the 3945ABG wireless adapter no?). Otherwise, just update the the WLAN driver. If you need any more help or clarification, feel free to post again :)
