I have reinstalled and upgraded the operating system, now I do not have any sound. I have tried the realtek sound drivers from Acer, no sound, I have pci device that does not have a driver in device manager.

What sound card is in this thing.

Please help, driving me carzier than I already am.

That's weird. Did you happen to install any video drivers? I usually have to uninstall the nVidia audio drivers that come with the video drivers. You could also try to set the on-board audio from auto to enabled in BIOS.
