I have a Aspire A0A150 and I was wondering if I can update the driver of the webcam so it can capture video in HD (or at least pseudo HD).

I thought of this after I updated the driver of the touchpad (from the 11.1.4 from which it comes standard to 15.0.17) after it refused to work properly (the damn thing would simply uninstall itself after a few minutes of use) and it didn't just fixed the problem but improved it.

So I was thinking, If that did it for my touchpad could a driver update make my webcam capture in HD ?.

Any response is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance :) .

It's not possible. The resolution of the video depends on camera CMOS sensor and driver can't improve that. In your case sensor is 0.3MP which equals 640x480 video resolution.

    Thanks you for the response.

Now that I know it's impossible, Now I'll have to figure out how to use my iPhone to record directly to the machine (rather than recording it through the iPhone then transferring the video to the machine)
