My AAO150 came with Windows pre-installed, but I installed Ubuntu to dual boot it. When I went to uninstall Ubuntu, I did the dumb thing of erasing the partition it was on, leaving me with a half intact GRUB.

Usually this problem can be solved by loading the XP recovery console and rewriting the windows mbr with the fixmbr command. I did so and it said it created the new bootloader, but when I restart my computer, grub still tries to load and gives me an error.

My guess would be that grub was installed on a partition, and that this partition is still flagged as bootable.
