Hello guys,
I restored my netbook to the factory defaults via the "Acer eRecovery Management" last night because I had a virus.
Now there is one problem:
The icon for the brightness is missing. So if I press fn+left/right, the brightness will change but no icon indicating the brightness will show up.
I already tried reinstalling the launchmanager but it seems that the brightness icon is not included. Before I restored my netbook the icon was available (it was like a sun).
So how can I get this brightness icon back?
Thank you very much!
Greetings,
Speedies

Any ideas?

Try re-installing Launch Manager application, it might fix it.
-
I already tried it but it didn't work. I checked the folder where the icons are located at as pictures and the ones for the brightness are missing.
Can anyone upload the brightness icons so that I can copy them into the folder? That might work.
The path is:
C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\OSDRC
Thanks! -
Hi Speedies,
Are you sure that you had this icon in your netbook originally, I never had this brightness icon in my Aspire 5610z and noticed that it's not in Aspire 5750 either. -
Hey ellalan,
yes, I'm absolutely sure. -

any ideas? -
I suppose you've already tried doing the FN key while hitting "+/-" ?
Also press the FN key while hitting the arrows > or < for the brightness.
Once you see if this works, then go to properties and see if you c an find the
string.. -
What do you mean by "finding the string"? I can change the brightness but the icon indicating this is just missing.
