I have installed Windows Vista Ultimate on my Acer Aspire D257 (1.66 Dual Atom, 1GB ram, 250 HDD) And this presents a large problem, this computer was released Post-Vista, and there are few drivers for Vista and the main issue is Network drivers, they don't work on Vista, I need some generic drivers or even the specific ones, because this is my school computer (I have my macbook at home) and i would like to use this eventually.

Two things - first is that using Windows Vista is a terrible idea especially on anything with 1GB RAM.

Secondly what is the network device you are missing drivers for? Wi-Fi or Ethernet? What exact model and manufacturer?

Alright, Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0), that is the ethernet card, i would like to get drivers for that, and then install updates, but almost all drivers i have looked at on the internet don't work right, and secondly, windows vista runs pretty snappy on this, you might be surprised. The computer doesn't label the wifi card drivers or the card itself , so its a mystery to both of us
