    Aspire One Maximum External Monitor Resolution?

    Hi!

    I am buying and external monitor for my father's aspire one and i would like to know the maximum external resolution. I am planning on buying the 22" samsung 2232bw

    does anyone know if it would run at 1680 x 1080?

    well, VGA theoretically doesn't have a maximum resolution, but the Aspire One's components obviously aren't exactly top-notch. still, i think 1680x1050 should work just fine.

    on a side note, LOL @ hooking a 22" LCD to a 8.9" Aspire One :D

    Lol, i know. But my dd is getting old and ihate seeing him squinting his eyes to check emails and etc.. He only uses skype and checks emails.

    you'll be fine. I'm pretty sure the max external resolution is something like 2048x1536. I've done 1680x1050 before with AA1.

    Hi guys, i just bought a 19" samsung LCD, but i can't change the resolutions. Is there a way to extend the desktop? or am i only allow to mirror?

    when i select "show my desktop only on the external display" the maximum resolution it allows me is 1024x768, is it possible to change it to at least 1280 x 800?

    im not on XP btw, i am using the other software included which i think is linux
