My Aspire One simply stopped working; screen is black. Only thing that lights up is the power switch and the orange battery light. That's it. Model number appears to be ZG5. Running Windows XP.
Appreciate any help.

Reflash your Bios and it'll probably come back alive again. There's a series bios corruption bug and the bug is fixed with later bioses.

Since you're messing with your acer aspire one anyways.. why not try out eboostr 3. Put a Fast SD card on the "storage expansion" slot and use it as a cache. You'll notice a signicant "performance boost" aka much more responsive computer.
BTW.. check out the link in my sig. It shows how a semi-optimized netbook can do. My video is shot without Eboostr 3, or else it'll be much faster.
