The harddisks were fast 200-280MB for SSD and about 80MB for USB3 disks.
The Wifi signal was 2-3 bars lower than on another ultra-thin aspire laptop.

After wiping the system drive and installing windows 7 instead there wasn´t any win 7 drivers on support pages, but most of the drivers for win 8 installed, except broadcom and bluetooth.

But there was another driver for broadcom wifi that worked + had more options, though the wifi reception is still kind of low compared to other laptop.

Can not find any drivers for bluetooth that work, so in device manager there´s 3 driverless units called "BCM20702A0", "PCI Device" and "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller"

Windows Update can not find more.

Hard disk performance are lower: 110-250MB for SSD and about 20-25MB for USB3 disks.

But windows experience index has gone from 5.8/10 to 7.1/7.9.

Don´t use bluetooth, but was wondering about disk performance, whether there was a conflict of some sort???

how did you end up wiping the drive and installing fresh windows onto the machine? for the life of me I couldn't get the laptop to boot from the usb install disk.
the only way I could get the laptop to recognize the usb disk is to make a system recovery disk, but that would install back the win8+bloatware that came with the system.
    much appreciated

First enter BIOS and choose LEGACY boot, because else it will use the new windows boot manager so you can´t do anything manually
Next: It´s okay to let windows 7 format NTFS instead of the new GPT, because you don´t need more than 3 partitions on system drive...
When you get windows 7 installed and updated, before you do it: go to acer and download all drivers even if it is for windows 8
Expect these problems (The new auto-rotate won´t work because the acer ezel application is designed for W8 and the don´t support W7; and it seems like Disable Wake on mouse is gone in power options)
When you install USB3 controller the harddisks will perform superfast again.
The WIFI broadcom driver for windows 8 will not install in W7. You have to find a windows 7 driver for it (do it while you got internet!)
I got all drivers covered in windows 7 and wifi is working. Only that auto-rotate thing is missing since the acer sensor app don´t work in W7.
