Hey recently got an Aspire S7 with the i7-4500u. I just loaded up coretemp and noticed that the cores idle in the neighborhood of 38-45 Celcius. That seems awfully high to me. I ran 3D Mark 11 and saw the temps get up into the 70s. Is this normal for these mobile haswell processors? I tried looking around for temperatures of this processor but all I can find is the max operating temperature (100).

Hoping somebody can weigh in. Thanks.

These are perfectly normal temperatures - both idle and under load. No need to worry.
