Research on the Acer site shows a 45W power adapter. Replacement adapters on Amazon specifically for S7-9439 are 65W (19V, 3.42A). Will I fry my 9439 with 65W??

No it won't - 45W adapter is 19V 2.37A so if you buy one that has 3.42A it will simply be able to provide more power than the notebooks needs although that does not mean it will draw that power. So no -it won't fry it.

There are replacement 45W adapters on eBay but don't sem to ship from the US.
