Just picked one up to be a graphics computer from Acer shipped overnight for $780.00 to my door. I work in audio / visual event industry and I do large live events and we are rather demanding on our systems. So far the system is performing very well.
I did delete all the OEM partitions and put the bios in legacy mode to install Windows 7 64 bit. It is significantly faster with a fresh install of 7 64 bit. Everything performs better, CS6, Office 2013, and Blackmagic capturing have been great. The only bottleneck is really the hard drive.
For the price, this computer is a great deal in my opinion. I would recommend dumping Windows 8 though. It is very easy to do and she runs much much better imo on 7 64 bit.
OEM specs.

Glad you got a 9809. Different from you Windows 8 runs perfectly fine for me. Maybe it's because I have been using Windows 8 from Developer Preview. Obviously I don't know what kind of performance you get on Windows 7 64-bit, because I have not tried on this laptop. But the 20-30 second boot time with Adobe CS6 Master Collection, and other massive problems on the slow 5400RPM 1TB HDD. It's awesome how you got it for $780. I purchased mine early/mid January and it costed $899.99
